It's a question that has to be asked. HAS to be asked, for sure. It's a question for which an answer must be found.
Peepers, are you a DOG?

I know, I know... I know what you're thinkin'. You're thinkin', why would my peep, aka Peepers, be a dog? I mean, she's a peep, right? That makes her human.
We think.
MOUSES!
But if Peepers WERE anythin' but human, why-oh-why would I, Seville the Cat, ever think she might possibly be a dog?
I mean...
I mean, if not human, would my Peepers not most probably be of the feline persuasion? Would she not most likely be a cat?
Like me.
MOUSES!
But the thing is...
The thing is, although peeps here in Nova Scotia are all supposed to be stayin' as close to home as possible right now, they're still supposed to be gettin' some exercise, and fresh air into their lungs, and Peepers has...
Almost every day when weather allows...
Been goin' for neighbourhood walks.

Now if there's one thing that I, Seville the Cat know - not that I don't actually know many, MANY things, probably more than most - is that the species most inclined to go for walks is...
You got it...
DOGS.
MOUSES!
Unlike us cats, dogs LOVE goin' out for walks. You say the word walk to a dog, and the next thing you know they're jumpin' up and down with joy, practically draggin' their humans out the door 'cause they're so excited by the whole walkin' thing they just can't wait to be out there, walkin' about on the streets.
CATS DON'T DO THAT.
EVER.

But Peepers...
Peepers, I noticed the other day when the sun was shinin' and the air was warm, was burstin' at the seams at the thought of goin' out for a walk.
Just. Like. A DOG.

So I'm thinkin'...
I'M THINKIN'...
I'm thinkin' two things, actually. Firstly, I'm thinkin' Peepers may, in fact, actually be a dog, and...
AND...
AND I'M WONDERIN' IF WHILE OUT ON HER WALKS, SHE'S OUT THERE DOIN' HER BUSINESS AND STUFF.

Seville, that is a truly frightening thought! How many of our peeps are actually - well, not to put too fine a word on it - d - o - g - s???
ReplyDeleteSeville we cats go on Patrol. We check our area and keep the raff of riff out. Dogs walk happily to and fro without paying attention unless something reeks then they notice. Just meowin here
ReplyDeleteI've heard hoomons say they're dog-gone tired. And I've heard them say "dog-gonnit." I've seen them point, and beg, and howl about stuff. I've also seen them eat like a pig, so I don't know what to make of that. But just thinking our hoomons might be of the canine purrswayshun... makes me shudder. Love, Herman!!!
