Besides, Saff is probably preferable to some of the other things I've been known to call him.

Truth be told, after havin' the peep try to get him inside for 'bout a year and a half, one cold and miserable night EXACTLY TWO YEARS AGO TONIGHT, with the wind blowin' in from the north and wet snow driftin' into the veranda area and landin' on Saffy's furs, Saffron allowed Peepers to pick him up and carry him inside the house just before she slammed that front door shut with her foot, and...
AND THE REST IS HISTORY, MY FRIENDS.

FYI, Peepers bought us kitties chicken. REAL chicken. Not outta a tin chicken, but the real kinda chicken. The real kinda chicken that non-vegetable... I mean, non-vegeTARIAN peeps eat.

ReplyDeleteMe, too. Personally, when I showed up at the peeps' door for the first time, I came right inside, right away. But Saffron was way too scared. At first he wouldn't even let Peepers near him! Thus the girls' name. MOUSES!
