missin'

Missin'.  That's right, my friends, my brother Saffron went missin'.

MOUSES!

The peeps searched high and they searched low, but it was no good.  Saffy was missin'.

MOUSES!

Okay, so I, Seville the Cat, happened to know exactly where Saffron was because as a cat, I know all about these things.

I could smell him.

MOUSES!

But the peeps wouldn't listen to me when I tried to tell 'em where ol' Saffy Saffron Sassifras was hidin'.  Listen to me?  Listen to their honest-to-goodness, crime-fightin' investigative reportin' kitty with a keen sense of smell and the power to track down the whereabouts of criminals and family members, alike?  OH NO, they'd much rather race about the house, crawlin' around on their hands and knees, runnin' from front door to back door and back to front again, gettin' more and more frantic by the minute.

And it wasn't even as if he had been missin' for all that long!  Couple hours or so.  No big deal, right?  Why, I've had quick little afternoon naps that lasted longer than that.

And so have the peeps.

MOUSES!

SO EVEN THOUGH I TRIED TO TELL 'EM, the peeps didn't listen and instead, got themselves all in a dither.

MOUSES!

And then...

Lo and behold...

Saffron appeared outta nowhere.

MOUSES!

Now I could have told 'em Saffy has taken a likin' to crawlin' in under that particular chair.  In fact, I DID TRY to tell 'em just that.  But like I said: THEY WOULDN'T LISTEN.

MOUSES!

Saffy says that chair is particularly nice on account of it bein' particularly difficult to see if any kitty might be hidin' under there.

Not that he was hidin', mind you.  He was just tryin' to get a little peace and quiet.  Have a little time to himself.  A little time where peeps weren't pawin' at him and kissin' him and rubbin' his tummy and stuff like that.

Oh yeah, I know all those things are nice.

WITHIN REASON.

But Saffy has come to the conclusion that those peeps of ours can't seem to keep their paws off him and it's drivin' him crazy.

Or so he says.

Personally, I thought he was already crazy, before.

Or maybe he was just enjoyin' the show.  Enjoyin' watchin' the peeps runnin' around like a pack of dogs, chasin' their tails.

I know I was; and that is for sure.

MOUSES!

And remember:

IF IN DOUBT,

DON'T. GO. OUT.

Continue to practice SOCIAL DISTANCIN' measures

AND KEEP WASHIN' YOUR PAWS.

MOUSES!

Remember to mask up, too.

  2. That Saffy. What a lad. But if he practices that long enough, they'll have to put one of those GPS trackers on him. Kinda spoils the fun I know, unless you swap collars and both give them the runaround and hide and seek game. Just think how fit the peeps would get! Would that be a good thing though?

  3. Sorry, Seville...I'm not buying it!
We all know that cats can become invisible, then reappear whenever they want to!
You are just covering up, but we are onto you.

  5. Glad that Saffy didn't go very far for very long. Worrying about a missing kitty is hard on peeps.
