gosh darn it

Gosh darn it -

*scratches behind an ear*

- I think she's gone and done it again.

MOUSES!

You all remember my BROTHERS Nerissa, Desdemona, and Calista, right?  And my SISTERS Mason and Tobias?

Well...

Well let's just say, it appears as if Peepers has gone and done it again.

MOUSES!

So anyway...

So anyway, I was watchin' Saffy Saffron while the peep was servin' brekkies yesterday, and for the first time ever, Saffron approached the peep with her tail held high, bein' full of confidence like a kitty should.

Now I wasn't lookin' at her ladyparts, mind you.  I mean, I wasn't snoopin' or bein' a peepin' tom, or anythin' like that.  That's not a very gentlecatly thing to do.  On the contrary, it's out and out rude.

And let me tell you somethin': if a ladycat catches you lookin' at her ladyparts, you just might end up introducin' your face to the wall on the opposite side of the room.

Believe me, I know.

MOUSES!

But anyway....

But anyway, Saffy was approachin' the peep and the dishes, her tail held high, and outta the corner of my eye...

Just for a momentary glimpse...

Well let's just say, my friends, I'm not absolutely sure, but I think...

I think my soon to be sister might in fact be a boy.

MOUSES!

It's not like I can outright ask.  I mean...

Well you remember 'bout those facial introductions to that wall on the opposite side of the room, right?  Now if a ladycat does that when she catches you peekin' at her ladyparts, YOU DON'T WANNA KNOW what she'll do if you come right out and say, "Hey Saffron, are you actually a boy?"

Believe me, I know.

MOUSES!

Not that Saffron ever did that to me but once, way back when, I slapped a paw on my sister Mason's butt like we were two manly pawball players, and let's just say...

THE WHITE WALL ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROOM WAS COVERED IN STARS.

Sparkly, movin' kinda stars.

MOUSES!

No, not MOVIE stars.  Movin'.  Movin' as in flickerin' here and there, and pretty much everywhere.

Just before I passed out.

MOUSES!

SO ANYWAY...

So anyway, I'm not sayin' this is a hundred percent thing or anythin' like that, 'cause like I said, I only caught a momentary glimpse, but...

But I think there's a strong possibility that instead of my gettin' a sister, I might, in fact, have a soon-to-be brother in store.

A brother with a girls' name.

Again.

MOUSES!

    1. MOUSES! That's kinda what happened with the peeps and Tobias. They were SURE she was a boy 'til they got her inside - usin' trickery and deceit - and when hidin' down in the basement, she went into heat.

  5. Seville, it's not so bad. Saffron isn't an out-and-out, utterly and specifically girl cat name. It's kind of neutral.
