Way back in the olden days - it was two months ago now - I remember... I remember being so very excited to reach my then goal of one hundred pageviews of my blog. One hundred! WOW! The triple digits! Back in those days, I could hardly believe that a hundred cats and their peeps had looked at my blog. Let me tell you, it was a real thrill. I'm being totally serious here. Never, in all my life, did I ever think that I would even have a blog... never mind know cats who were willing to read it.
Well my friends, I've hit a new milestone. It happened last week. This is really exciting. I've left the triple digits and am now... that's right.... in the quadruple digits! I feel like I'm Kurt Browning and just landed my first quad at the Olympics. Oh, the feelings cursing through my veins. The excitement! I'm so lovin' it!!!
And not only have I had over one thousand pageviews of my blog, but other exciting things have happened, too. I won an award. That's right... an award! It was given to me by my good friend Mario. Oh, he's great, isn't he? And I was interviewed by Herman. That was fun! And Herman's mom interviewed the peep. I'm not quite sure why she wanted to interview the peep though. I mean, she isn't all that interesting. That's why I'm the one with the blog. Oh, and I even played a game of tag 'cause I got tagged by Caren & Cody. That was fun, too.
You know, many of the cats and their peeps who read Nerissa's Life are from countries other than Canada. Some are from countries I've never even heard of before. This is kind of expected as I've lived here in Meadowvale my whole, entire life. I've only ever been to one other place... the doctor's office and hospital... and that's in Canada, too. Just like Meadowvale.
Peep #1 knows about these countries - or so she says - but there were a couple she couldn't find on a map. Hmmm... I told her to Google them. She did and now we both know. I've learned a lot since I started my blog last November. Like where those countries are.
So what are my plans for the future, you ask? Well, what do you call five digits worth of pageviews? I don't know. Neither does the peep. But that's where I'm headed. Ooohhhh... it's so exciting... I just can't wait!

ReplyDeleteThat is a terrific milestone and there will be many more to come you watch! When Mom started cat blogging (in 2005) there were many cat bloggers and there was no cat blogosphere like today and certainly no Twitter and FB (although Mom doesn't do FB) so it's all changed for the good. We are so glad you're here and having a great time.
