it's beginnin' to look a lot like...

CHRISTMAS.  All the live long day...

Nope, that's not right.  Let's try that again.

It's beginnin' to look a lot like Christmas.  All the...

Nope.

In the...

NOPE.

Here and there...

NOPE.

For mousin' out loud, I've heard ol' Peepers slaughter the lyrics to this song so many times, I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what the real lyrics are!

MOUSES!

You ever notice that about peeps, my friends?  You ever notice how even when they don't know the words to a song, they go ahead and sing said song...

Sing Said Song...

Hehehehehe...  My gosh I crack myself up.  That's funny.

So anyway, let me get back on topic.  I was talkin' about peeps messin' songs up.

You ever notice how even when peeps don't know the words to a song, they go ahead and sing the song, anyway?  Not only that, but there appears to be a DIRECT CORRELATION between the lack of the knowin' of the words, and the volume at which the "made up" words are sung.

In other words, the less the peeps know, the LOUDER they sing.

MOUSES!

It's beginnin' to look a lot like Christmas.  Everywhere you...

Meet?

Nope, I don't think that's right.

Greet?  Meet and greet?  Meet, greet...  Wheat?

Nah, that sounds off, too

Hmmm...

Everywhere you GO.

My gosh golly, I think that might be it!

Let's try this from the top, shall we?

It's beginnin' to look a lot like Christmas
Everywhere you go.
Take a look in the Pets R Us
See if Santa's made a fuss
With nipmice and feathers and snow.

A pair of nip-filled cigars and a wand toy with stars
Is the wish of Rushy and me.
Balls that will roll and a fish in a bowl
Is what I hope we two will see.
And peeps can hardly wait for the nip to grow old and stale again.

It's begnnin' to look a lot like...

What's that?  What's that Peepers?  What's that you're babblin' on about now?

Those aren't the right lyrics, you say?  You think I've got the words to the song all wrong?

Hmmm...

Nope, I think I've got 'em right.  You sit back and listen while I sing it once more.

And THIS time, I'm sing it WAY LOUDER, for sure.

Apparently that helps, somehow.

MOUSES!

  3. I've heard that the louder you talk/sing, makes people think that you know what you are talking/singing about. Sing it loud, sing it proud Seville. Maybe the Peeps will take the hint.

  7. We are sure that your version is the way the composer intended and would have written it, if only he or she spoke Catlish, Seville. Purrhaps you could post a video on MewTube of you singing it.
You look good in your Santa hat.

  9. Hilarious. We've noticed that about Grammy too. And she needs a bushel basket to carry a tune. NOT MUSIC TO OUR EARS!
