so embarrassing

Oh my mouses.  Peeps can be SO embarrassing, you know?

Of course you do.

MOUSES!

So there I was, mindin' my own business while washing up after doin' my business, if you know what I mean, when all of a sudden...

"Look at that.  What a clean cat Seville is."

WELL OF COURSE I'M CLEAN.  What did you expect?

MOUSES!

Then a few minutes later...

"Awww...  Look at him now.  Isn't it sweet how he rests his head on his paws like that?"

WELL OF COURSE I'M SWEET.  What did you think?

MOUSES!

And I suppose I could live with that, if that was all they were doin'.  But the thing is...

But the thing is, once peeps start singin' my praises...

The inevitable happens.

MOUSES!

Next thing I know, I'm up in Peep #1's arms, bein' smothered in kisses.

And when not givin' me kisses, she's back to singin' my praises.  Singin' my praises like a cockatoo on steroids.

And it's embarrassing, you know?

Of course you do.

MOUSES!

I suppose, IN A WAY, I'm lucky.  My luxuriously soft fur does hide the fact that I'm blushing.

But still...

MOUSES!

And then, just when I think the purposeful making-me-blush-stuff is about to stop...

She starts kissing me again.

Which, of course, leads to my havin' to have another bath.

You know, on account of my then needin' to wash off the peep germs and stuff.

At least those I can reach.

And then the NEXT thing I know, on account of my adorably cute bathing routine...

She's back to singin' my praises, once more.

MOUSES!

It's a never-ending cycle, it is.  A cruel, never-ending cycle, for sure.

It OUGHT to be against the law but alas, the law-makers of this great nation have other things on their minds.  Other things which cannot possibly be as important as protectin' cats like me from unwanted kisses.

Not to mention too many praises, and...

Oh my mouses, my friends, I see that glint in her eye...

She's gonna...

She's gonna...

SHE'S GONNA...

ARRGGGHHHH!

Oh great.  Kisses on the back of the head again.  You have any idea how difficult it is to wash those things off?  MY TONGUE DOESN'T REACH that far back!

AWWWW...

MOUSES!

  1. Hey, mouses is right! All that mushy stuff just makes me want to get as far away as possible because the same thing happens. The gush, then the grab. Yuck! - Tom x

  10. I know what you mean Severs. It seems every time I get finished bathing, one of my humans starts to pet and smooch me. That means I have to take a bath all over again to get the human stink off the furrs. They just don't have a clue. Winks.
