I'm back.   Peepers, you appear to be correct in sayin' it is not yet ready.  I am very sorry to say - sorrier than you will ever know - that the cat grass you planted the other day, is but only a half inch tall.

 Which is about the same height it was twenty minutes ago.

MOUSES!

You know...

You know Peepers, had you planted the seeds right after we got 'em for Christmas - when Santa brought 'em to us A WHOLE MONTH AGO, they'd be ready for munchin' by now.

On the other paw, they might very well have already BEEN munched, I suppose.

MOUSES!

So Peepers, you think they might be ready NOW?

Not yet, huh?

 MOUSES!

But I do have to paw it to you, Peepers.  At least this stuff is growin'.

Peepers, it's been another five minutes.  You think that cat grass might be ready 'bout now?  I'll go check.

Nope, it is not yet ready, I'm afraid.

Peepers, now that I think about it.  You never answered my question before.  Exactly how long DOES cat grass take to grow?  Any idea?  Any idea at all?  Huh?  Huh?  HUH?

BUT TWO WEEKS IS LIKE FOREVER IN CAT WEEKS, FOR SURE!

I can't possibly wait two whole weeks...

Maybe if I take a little nap, it'll be ready when I wake up.

Oh gosh darn it, I'm so excited 'bout munchin' on that cat grass, I can't fall asleep.

Maybe if I go get a snack, it might be ready when I'm done snackin'.

Oh for mousin' out loud, there's ABSOLUTELY NOTHIN' I can do to get my mind off waitin' for that cat grass to grow high enough for me to eat.  Nothin' at all.

Well think of it this way, Peepers.  If my constant asking 'bout that cat grass is drivin' you crazy, at least you don't have very far to go.  'Cause seriously Peepers, you're almost already there.  Crazy, I mean.  You're almost already crazy, for sure.  When it comes to goin' crazy, you have a very short distance to go.

Oh my mouses!  Peepers, we ARE goin' somewhere after all.  WE'RE GOIN' CRAZY.  Ha-ha!

Well at least you are.

And I DIDN'T word my first question incorrectly, at all.

    What you are trying to say is, 'Is the grass ready yet'. We would like some of that grass too. Hope it is ready soon for you.

    Gosh! To get my cat grass, I sent my peeps to the grocery store and she came home with some. She says she found it in the produce section and they were selling it as wheat grass for smoothies.....No waiting!

    If you got it for Christmas and it takes 2 weeks then it should be ready- what happened? Did the peep have growing troubles? I shouldn't laugh, I always seem to kill that stuff.

      APPARENTLY, that's two weeks from bein' planted. You'd think the peep would know that, but OH NO, she only planted the seeds a few days ago. MOUSES!

      Ditto on that. Although she said she used only a bit of the package so I'm hopin' she'll be able to plant another pot as soon as we're into this one. Not sure if you get extras when you buy 'em already grown. purrs

    Well look at it this way. If it is not ready yet at least it will last longer. I think your Peep should get another crop on the go so it is ready when the first lot is all munched.

    Oh man! That grass stuff takes longer than paint! Can you put some fertiliser on it... or maybe give it vitamins and an exercise plan? The nips not growing huh? Hmm I shall send some more for you by carrier pigeon and maybe they will germinate on route?

    I'm pretty sure Bear and I have had this conversation a million times about the dishwasher. He comes and gets me THE MINUTE it stops because he doesn't hear the dry cycle. He doesn't like eating the food off the mat and wants his bowl back (and when he gets his bowl back, he paws the food out on the mat anyway!). Cats ... can't live with them ... yet we love them to no end.

    So we all (including your peeps) have to listen to this for the next two weeks? Is there anything that could take your mind off the grass? Maybe some weed? Not that we have any. We're just asking. In case. We don't want anything to happen to you while you wait. Say a heart attack or a nervous breakdown or a time zone warp. Just hang on. The grass is coming.

    Seville dude, feeling your pain buddy! We had some of them magic seeds and waited fur weeks fur them to grow and mew know what, they didn't grow at all, they were duffers!!!! Anyhoo, we got some more and the P.A. put them in the airing cupboard where its supurr toasty, like totally tropical and they grew like they'd had a nitrous boost! Hope yours is ready by now! MOL
