the tale of the dancin' ol' peep

Perhaps you remember...

In a blog post, a little while back...

The tale of the dancin' ol' peep.

MOUSES!

You might also remember my reaction to what I am quite generously referrin' to as dancin'.

I WAS WAY TOO BUSY ROLLIN' AROUND ON THE FLOOR; LAUGHIN' AT PEEPERS RUNNIN' AROUND, INSIDE AND OUT, LOOKIN' FREAKISHLY FRAZZLED AND KINDA WEIRDLY BEDAZZLED, DOIN' HER VERSION OF THE FREAKY FREAKAZOID DANCE OF THE PEEPS.

MOUSES!

So anyway...

So anyway, that was what happened when Saffy went missin'.  Yup, Saffy was missin' and Peepers danced the freaky freakazoid dance of the peeps.

MOUSES!

Well it happened again, my friends.  It happened again!  Once again, ol'...

Pardon me?

Oh, no.  Sorry.  No, Peepers did not again do the dance of the peeps.

And it's a good thing, too, 'cause a cat can pull a muscle rollin' around on the floor, laughin' his tail off, whilst watchin' his silly ol' so-called dancin' peep.

MOUSES!

No, what happened again was that Saffy went missin'.

Uh-huh.  Yup.  He did it again.  Again!

Only this time..

This time...

THIS time, before Peepers got a chance to embarrass herself once more, doin' whatever that was that we're callin' dancin', Saffron was found.  Found, I tell you.  FOUND!

Pardon me?

No, surprisingly enough, he was NOT found by me.

If you can believe it, it was actually the peep.

Who found him, that is.

MOUSES!

Yeah, Saffy went missin' and Peepers searched the house, inside and out.  Which she did last time, too, if you remember, but obviously not well enough.

OBVIOUSLY.

'Cause truth be told, his hidin' spot was right there, out in the open, just WAITIN' to be found.

There Saffy was, on top of the guest bed, kinda tucked in between the pillows, but really and truly, not all that well hidden, at all.

Okay, so...  So all you could see were his ears and his tail and some little bits in between.

BUT APPARENTLY, YOU HAD TO GO RIGHT INTO THE ROOM, stand at the far end of the bed, and peer over at the pillows.

Or so says the peep.

MOUSES!

Yeah, that bit didn't make much sense to me, either.  How the peep didn't see him the LAST time, I really have no idea.  She went in the room.  She even got down on her hands and her knees, lookin' under the bed.  You'd think that whilst strugglin' back up onto her feet, she would've spotted him squeezed in between those ol' pillows.

PEEPERS IS CLEARLY NOT GOOD AT GAMES OF HIDE AND GO SEEK.

Not good as in the WORLD'S WORST PLAYER, that is.

MOUSES!

On the other paw, it's quite possible Saffy Saffron Sassifras has TWO top-secret hidin' places to use.  Maybe the last time, up on the guest bed was not where he was.

And no, before you ask, I already did.  Apparently, he's not tellin'.

MOUSES!

  5. Ooh, secrets need to be shared, especially to the boss of the house, aka YOU, Seville. Or maybe Saffy needs to try harder, and work on his tail hiding skills, MOL
