Labour Day weekend

So tomorrow is Labour Day Monday.

Should that be Labor Day?

Hmmm....

Nah, here in Canada it's spelled Labour, to be sure.

Labor...  Labour... Whatever.

But anyway...

But anyway, as a cat, I'm failin' to see the point of it all.  Oh sure, it's nice to have your peeps home and stayin' out of trouble, and all that.  Even nicer if they do a big steak on the barbie...

Barbie...  BBQ...  Whatever.

But the thing is, although we have a BBQ, Peepers almost never uses it.  And even if she did, she wouldn't be grillin' me steak.

'Cause Peepers is a vegetable...  I mean, vegeTARIAN, you see.

Vegetable...  Vegetarian...  Whatever.

The bottom line is, a Labour Day Weekend full of great big ol' grilled steaks just isn't gonna happen for me.

But all that aside, the thing I really don't get about Labour Day is this concept of...

Well...

Labour.

'CAUSE LABOURIN' IS SOMETHIN' I SIMPLY DON'T DO.

'Cause I'm a cat.  And cats don't work.  We don't labour.

Supervise, sure, but work?

Unless, of course, you're talkin' about how we might find dealin' with a silly peep when she's bein' particularly super silly; 'cause yeah, THAT can be super duper LABORIOUS, to be sure.

A cat can only explain to a peep how to do somethin' so many times before said cat starts gettin' a little antsy in the pantsy, if you know what I mean.

Even if said cat never wears any pants.

And when that happens - the laborious task of dealin' with super silly peeps, I mean - the best thing to do is go take a nap.

'Cause it's super tirin' you see, and...
