there, there...

There, there, Saffy.  There, there...

I know she's scary.

Well what do you expect, Saffy, my man?  The peep is a...

Well...

Well she's a peep!  As a peep, she's bound to be scary, for sure.

MOUSES!

I know...

I know!

Look, I've been sayin' the same thing for ages.  Been sayin' the same thing all my nine lives, in fact.  You are preachin' to the choir, Saffron, for sure.

MOUSES!

The thing is, Saffron...

The thing you've got to remember...

Well...

Well the thing you've got to remember is that Peepers might very well be as scary as all get out, but she never actually means to scare us.  It's just her way, I suppose.  Like when you see her first thing in the mornin' and her hair is stickin' here and there and everywhere, lookin' like it's never even HEARD of a comb, much less been combed.  She doesn't mean to scare us with that head of hair of hers.  That's just how her hair is.  It looks that way naturally, I'm afraid.

You know, the first time I saw that mornin' hair of Peepers', I'm tellin' ya, I'm almost certain I lost one of my nine lives right there and then.  Yup, I lost one of my lives due to fright.

It's true!  The sight of that hair turned my gorgeous marmalade furs right yellow, it did.

MOUSES!

But my point is, Saffron, Peepers didn't MEAN to scare me that mornin'.  It's just that the state of her hair was...

Well...

Well it was darn right terrifyin', to be sure.

MOUSES!

What's that, Saffron?  What's that?  You say you've gotten used to the state of her hair?

Really?

Wow.

Well you're a braver kitty than I am, and that is for sure.

MOUSES!

So Saffron, if it wasn't the state of Peepers' hair that had you quiverin' in your bootless paws, what did?

She was playin' that game where she wiggles her fingers and swoops in to give you a tummy tickle all while makin' weird soundin' funny cooin' noises?

Weird soundin' noises...  Singin'...  Whatever.

MOUSES!

Yeah, that kinda behaviour is super scary, too.

But tell me, Saffron, have you seen the woman dance?  First time I saw that, I shed myself, right there on the spot.  By the time she was done, I was practically bald!

SHED, Saffy.  I said, SHED.  What kinda cat do you think I am?

MOUSES!

  6. Shed happens, Seville!
In fact, Sweetie dropped so much fur while at a recent vet visit, you'd think that SHE'D be bald, but nope, there is still plenty for her to leave all over the floor, bed, and those tumbleweeds of fur that hide from the broom.
