Hello, hello, hello...
HEL-LOW-OHHH......
Hello? Anybody out there?
HELLO?
By gosh and by golly, there isn't a single soul here on the Internet today, and...
Oopsie!
Heeheeheeheeheeheehee...
MOUSES!
You ever done that, my friends? You ever done what I just did? You ever start usin' some kinda electronic device like a computer or an appliance or somethin', without realisin' the darn thing wasn't plugged in?
MOUSES!
Okay, so truth be told, that's not exactly what happened 'round here. Certainly didn't happen to me. Nope, I, Seville the Cat, don't do such foolish things, you see. I was just makin' that up TO ILLUSTRATE what happened to the peep.
She, unlike me, does stuff like that ALL the time.
MOUSES!
So yesterday mornin', Peepers went to make herself some coffee. Always a good idea on account of the peep bein' pretty crabby and cranky - not to mention downright scary - prior to her first cup of mornin' coffee or tea.
But the thing is...
The thing is, she put the water in the coffee maker and put the coffee grounds in there, too. Then she plugged the plug in the wall. And then she turned the coffee maker on and walked away.
A little while later...
A little while later, Peepers returned to get herself her first cup of coffee of the day - FINALLY, thank goodness - but there was no coffee to be had. She double checked. Yup, water was in. Yup, coffee grounds were there, too. And yup, the plug was in the socket.
But the light hadn't turned on.
MOUSES! Was the coffee maker broken? If it was, it would be bad. It would be very, very bad, for sure. Only thing worse than a coffeeless peep is a coffeeless peep with a broken coffee maker, you see.
Gosh darn it, WHAT WAS A COFFEELESS PEEP GONNA DO?
Then came the oopsie part. HER oopsie part; not mine. The part where the peep should have cried oopsie! but used a slightly stronger word, instead.
Yes, Peepers yelled "MOUSES!"
MOUSES!
That second MOUSES was mine.
The plug that was plugged in was not the plug for the coffee maker, you see. Nope, she had gone and plugged in some other counter top appliance by mistake.
Silly peep.
MOUSES!
And yes, once Peepers discovered her mistake she DID manage to eventually make herself some coffee. And yes, my cranky, crabby, coffeeless peep became coffeeless no more.
Little less cranky and crabby, too, I might add.
AND THANKS-BE-TO-GOODNESS FOR THAT.
For there's only so much crankiness and crabbiness a cat like me can stand.
MOUSES!

Remember to mask up, too.
My peeps coffee maker is some weird red thing with a whole bunch of buttons on it. TWICE now she had done all the water and coffee business and when she pushed it back to its home by the sink she has hit one of those silly buttons. Of course, the machine seems to be smarter than the peep and it doesn’t work if you hit that little blasted button. This week it has held up the creation of Spanish coffee. Mouses!!
ReplyDeletePlugging In must not be as easy as it once was Seville, more plugs equal more peep confusion!
ReplyDeleteNo one should have to do anything prior to their first cuppa, Seville.
ReplyDeleteAt the office awhile ago, I plugged a plug into the wrong place, although everything looked purrfectly okay...but nothing worked, until I plugged that plug into some other slot, et voila! Stupid machines.
Peeps are like that, Sivvers. Especially before they have had their coffee. MOUSES! :)
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahahaha!! Peeps before coffee can’t tell the difference between all the appliances on the counter!! (Sometimes, not even AFTER coffee!!!)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to sort out those plugs before you've had coffee. Good thing cats don't need to be caffeinated!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!
ReplyDeleteA few years ago, a friend asked my son, a computer engineer, to come over to her house to solve a problem she had with her computer...he was done in about 30 seconds...the plug was in the wall and in the back of said computer, but not properly...he pushed it in and bingo...problem solved! We still laugh about that incident.
Definitely cause for concern there. May I suggest labelling plugs? Mrs H has done that under the computer. Shamereally as most of the leads are going to move soon anyway, mol
