Red means stop; green means go; and yellow means GO REAL, REAL FAST LIKE A BAT OUTTA...
I heard that in a movie once. I may have paraphrased it a bit, but the sentiment is the same.
I know, I know... I know what you're thinkin'. You're thinkin', what the mouses do traffic lights have to do with Seville the Cat?
Well nothin'. That's what.
But traffic lights are indicators of sorts, are they not? Oh sure, they're not the same kinda indicators as the turn signal thingies cars have, where you can INDICATE to the person - or cat - drivin' behind you that you're gonna be makin' a turn before you make it. You know, those turn signal thingies a large portion of the driving public has never learned how to use. No, they're not indicators like that. Not like that, at all, except with respect to the fact that like the traffic lights, the turn signal thingies are of NO importance to me, Seville the Cat. The peep? Well, she's more into stuff like that.
But anyway, like I was sayin', traffic lights are indicators of sorts.
Well like the flickin' of my tail, THIS WAY AND THAT.
A tiny flick of my tail means stop. No flick of the tail means, keep on rubbin' my tummy, there, Peepers. And a rapid, full-tail back and forth means... GET YOUR DIRTY ROTTEN PAWS OFF MY TUMMY REAL, REAL FAST, LIKE A BAT OUTTA...
Got that, Peepers? Did they neglect to teach you the REALLY important stuff in drivers' ed?
Oops, code red can be trouble sometimes!ReplyDelete
Yes, Sivvers! That's exactly what the tail flickin' means here, too!ReplyDelete

Oh oh! Seville! You sure you weren’t sending a mixed signal of sorts?ReplyDelete
We have deep abide for the stop go and better git goin indicators here at our house. Poor Rumpy has no tail. Lucky he likes everything. Except having his tushie washed that is MOLReplyDelete
Oh yes, Seville...the tailio is a good indicator!ReplyDelete
Yes, a tail is similar to a traffic light :)ReplyDelete
Hmmm, maybe what we need is different colour tails? Or slip on knitted tail covers. That way we could also have one for feed me, NOW!ReplyDelete
Oh, Oh! Did the peep live? This Cat wants to know.ReplyDelete
