what happened?

What happened?

I repeat, WHAT HAPPENED?

I REPEAT, WHAT HAPPENED?

Hey Peepers, you have somethin' to do with this?

MOUSES!

Hmmm...  No answer from the peep.  Figures. Bet she's hidin' in shame. Bet she's all shame-faced and...

What am I sayin'?  That woman knows no shame.  Why, just the other day...

Nah, that's a topic best left for another blog post, for sure.

MOUSES!

Now back to my problem at paw.

WHAT THE MOUSES HAPPENED?

Hmmm...

I need to go check on somethin'.  Be right back.

Well THAT didn't happen.  For a moment there, I thought maybe I had fallen asleep and forgotten to wake up for like six weeks without knowin' it, and...

But no, that's not what happened, at all.

Unless...

I need to go check on somethin'.  Be right back.

What THAT didn't happen, either.  For a second there, I thought that maybe the peeps and I had ALL fallen asleep and forgotten to wake up for like six weeks without knowin' it, and no one had flipped the pages on the calendar, 'cause you know, it's hard to remember to flip the pages on the calendar while you're sleeping, unless, of course, you happen to be a sleep walker with a penchant for checkin' on calendars.  But in all honesty, I don't think my peeps are even sleep walkers, never mind bein' calendar-changin' ones.

So no, that's not what happened, either.

Unless...

I need to go check on somethin'.  Be right back.

What THAT didn't happen, for sure.  For a minute there, I thought that maybe...

Hmmm...  I appear to have lost my train of thought.

MOUSES!

But speakin' of trains...

Nah, that has nothin' to do with what I'm talkin' about.

Hmmm...

HEY PEEPERS!  YOU SURE YOU AREN'T RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS MESS?

What's that?  What's that, Peepers?  What am I babbling on about now?

Of all the nerve.  I, Seville the Cat, do not babble.  MOUSES!

But back to my question at paw.

Where the mouses has the summer gone?  It's only Labour Day Weekend.  I checked the calendar and everythin'.  Yeah, I checked the calendar on the wall, and I checked the calendar on the television, too.  I even called the air force base, thinkin' they might have some special kinda calendar showin' the exact date, usin' satellite imagery, or maybe they do somethin' with telescopes and the space station and whatnot, or...

Oh, and BY THE WAY, Peepers, if anyone from the Canadian military calls askin' for Seville the Cat...

YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF ME.

MOUSES!

So anyway, by all accounts, this is still the beginnin' of September, and yet, it feels more like late October.  It's cold, and chilly, and even the sunpuddles are only lukewarm, and....

Hey Peepers!  Are you SURE you're not responsible for this mess?  Are you sure you didn't mess the weather and everythin' up?  'Cause it's not like you haven't messed stuff up before, and...

OH MY MOUSES!  That's the phone.

Answer that, Peepers, will you?  And remember, if it's that General whats-his-face?  Uh...  Tell him he has the wrong number or somethin'.  Tell him there is no Seville the Cat livin' here.

Boy-oh-boy, you tell a General to quit his whining and pull up his big boy pants, or adult-sized diaper, or whatever it is he wears, 'cause he's clearly behavin' like he had a bit of an accident there, what with him behavin' like a cat with a mouse up his tail and everythin' - ONCE -  and the next thing you know...

MOUSES!

  1. Oh Seville, you must know the Canadian military doesn't own any satellite thingies, we only have Canada Arms and they are all waving around in space somewhere, maybe you could ask the military to wave at you the next time they go over??

  4. The weather is topsy turvy everywhere, and it is hard to know what season we are in. We suspect that craziness is never going to go away. Our humans spent most of the day on the catio with us in some very pleasant weather. Usually it would be much too hot this time of year. Sorry it has gotten you so confused. MOUSES. 5. Thats the thing with those general General types, just don't know how to respond to public demands about calendars, and mice! I hopes you find out where the summer went as around here it only ever came for a couple of days and went off somewhere else. Anyone would think it was short staffed!

  8. Well, I'm ready for summer to hit the road...all the way up to Nova Scotia, if you want the dang thing. Unfortunately, summer here in the armpit of the south lasts for another month. Yep. Right through the middle of Octopurr...and then it's winter. No fall. Just one day we wake up and it's winter. *Sigh*

  9. It does seem like October, but I LOVE it! Fall is my favorite time of year. You still get sun puddles :)

  11. I have been wondering the same myself. It gets dark so quick now, and the rain and the cold doesn't bear thinking about!

  13. Oops Seville, mew're gonna need an alias dude especially if mew're messing with forces... but yep we have to agree, we've got tepid sun-puddles, and it's gone rather fresh. In fact we think the seasons have moved back a month, so someone is defo messing with the calendar as our trees are dropping leaves like no-ones business, a month earlier than they should - there's a conspiracy a-paw fur sure - I think we need to get that time travelling whisk of yours fired up and go see who or what started this mess!

    Big hugs

  14. I'll trade you weather my furr-iend! I would love to have October-like weather rather than the extra hot & dry July-like weather we're having. It is just too warm for a kitty like me with a thick, long coat. It takes all my effort just to roll over, 'cause my human won't stand still & fan me. Mew Mew!
